Originally we went into the mattress store to look around for our purchase for the following month. We were talked into the program and the initial payment of 59 dollars, not bad we thought.

We said we will need to have our payments monthly and 30 days out. The salesman said, sure all you need to do is call them (progressive) and set it up. We called and progressive said they can't do that but we can work out another arrangement. Fine we get it worked out.

Then we start getting calls 4-6 times a day saying that we are late! How can we be late when we have been making our payments on time. Called them again and they politely blamed the automated system. Okay, fine we will just ignore the calls.

Then we realized that total amount nearly tripled. So we decided that we needed to pay it off asap. Called, told them we needed to move our last payment date (our pay off payment) to a certain date. They said okay, just call us back on the first to get your amount.

We called enough time in advance for nothing to be withdrawn from our account. However we noticed that the online system still reflected a upcoming payment AFTER we just told them that we needed to move the payment AND was told by them that the payment had been canceled. LIES. We called again a day or two later and asked why the account still should a payment coming out on the wrong date.

Again they blamed it on the automated system. Called one more time a day later and told them how the online system is still showing a payment to come out and we clearly stated what date we would make the payoff amount. They were apologetic and they said they see where we have called multiple times and the notes were we have stated this. We thought everything was okay so we didn't check the online status again.

BIG MISTAKE. They changed our payments to weekly and withdrew a payment. This made no sense for them to do and we did not authorize them to do so. SO of course this caused a domino effect of things.

In all we should not have listened to the salesperson from the beginning! It all went down hill from there. Terrible experience.
